A creative studio built for
thoughtful work.
Pitch Pine Design is a small, woman-owned graphic design + illustration studio in Mansfield, Connecticut that collaborates with nonprofits, educators, and independent businesses to build custom visual identities, campaigns, publications, and communications materials that feel like natural extensions of the voices they belong to.
Trusted by those working in natural science, conservation, education, community, and art-focused sectors.
Born in 2021 from the Pine Barrens of Southern New Jersey and now living riverside in Connecticut's Last Green Valley, Pitch Pine works with you directly to develop high quality visual assets. The possibilities are endless, and they'll feel like yours.
Projects have included work for public school districts, nonprofit organizations like nature centers and parks, small businesses and community initiatives, educational programs, publications and more.
What this studio does
Visual identity, graphic design, and illustration. That means logos, typography systems, visual guidelines; print and digital materials such as brochures, campaigns, reports, signage, and marketing pieces; custom illustration for brands, publications, educational materials, and storytelling.
Why this studio exists
Many small organizations rely on volunteers, staff wearing multiple hats, or DIY design tools. There's nothing wrong with that - I've worn those hats too. It works for a while, but eventually the visual communication effort becomes inconsistent or ineffective when other hats need to be worn.
Pitch Pine exists to bridge that gap by providing you with professional design support in a way that is collaborative, practical, and accessible.
How this studio works
Through discovery, strategy, design, and support. Together, we'll start with a conversation about your organization, goals, and audience. I'll outline the creative direction and scope of the project. Concepts are developed, refined, and prepared for launch.
Clients like to continue working with me through ongoing creative support for worry-free organization and reliability, but I'm always happy to set someone up with all the knowledge and tools needed if creative partnership just isn't in the budget. Flexibility and understanding are key here!
